Dr Jennifer Coolidge

Dr Coolidge is an internationally renowned expert on the gas sectors of Iraq and Turkmenistan and advises international oil companies and multinationals on strategy, political risk, operations and market entry in Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan. In 2006-2007, Dr Coolidge was Research Fellow at the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center, a prominent US Congressionally funded think tank in Washington DC. In 2005-2006 she was International Policy Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford, and Senior Rapporteur for the UK Taskforce on Energy Security and Foreign Policy chaired by former EU External Relations Commissioner, Lord Christopher Patten. Dr Coolidge’s concurrent research on the hydrocarbon sector of Turkmenistan was funded by the US Department of State Title VIII program. She received a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford in 2002.

She recently published “Turkmenistan: an exporter in transition” with Dr Stanislav Zhukov in Russian and CIS Gas Markets and their Impact on Europe, February 2009, Oxford University Press. Recent presentations include:
