KIOGE to form part of broader energy weekin Kazakhstan in 2010

KIOGE, Kazakhstan’s leading conference and exhibition for the oil and gas industry will form part of a broader energy week which includes the Astana-based Eurasian Energy Forum in 2010. The events will take place from 5th to 9th October.

The timing of the forum, conference and exhibition has been co-ordinated to enable the global oil and gas community to attend the events in a single trip. The forum has moved into the traditional KIOGE week and will take place on 5th and 6th October in the country’s capital city, Astana. KIOGE will continue to take place in Almaty and has moved back by one day with the exhibition commencing on 6th October. KIOGE’s main conference sessions will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th October.

Mr. Graeme Coombes, Director of ITE’s International Oil & Gas Division said, “KIOGE has always been the focal point of the oil and gas community’s calendar in Kazakhstan and it is good news that the timing of the Eurasian Energy Forum in Astana now fits into the KIOGE week. In addition to the new scheduling of the events, we have also reached an agreement that the forum in Astana will focus on high-level political and strategic issues whilst the KIOGE conference will concentrate on the senior level commercial, operational and technical aspects of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan. All events will receive support at the highest levels and participants will be able to attend the forum, conference and exhibition in a single trip to Kazakhstan”.
